Is the leather sustainable?
Yes. Nomad sources from tanneries that use byproduct hides from the food industry, vegetable-based tanning processes, and Leather Working Group-certified facilities. It's not vegan, but it is one of the most ethically sourced leathers available.
How do I care for it?
Wipe with a dry microfiber for daily cleaning. Avoid harsh chemicals or alcohol — they'll dry out the leather. Occasional conditioning with leather balm extends the life and deepens the patina. Don't worry about water spots; they dry out and blend into the patina.
What's the difference vs the Horween version?
Both are full-grain leather. The Horween-specific case uses leather from the iconic Chicago tannery and tends to develop more dramatic colour shifts over time. This version uses Nomad's sustainably sourced leather — slightly less character, but lower price and similar feel.
Does MagSafe charging work as fast as on a bare phone?
