What is Weaving+?

Fusion Weaving
& Pixel Jacquard Weaving

Using Fusion Weaving™ and jacquard weaving techniques, low-fidelity and rough color blocks appear on aramid fiber fabrics to showcase the game pattern.

Jacquard is a concave-convex pattern composed of interlaced warp and weft. The pixel pattern on the front requires another layer of silk threads crisscrossing on the back. So the jacquard pattern has an inconsistent front and back (as shown in the picture below).

Q1:Why is it limited to 2,500 sets, but the number on my phone case exceeds 2,500?

A1: Only 2,500 sets of [Pixel Game] are sold worldwide. The number is laser engraved synchronously during the production process. Still, due to quality control of the product, the slightly flawed phone cases will be destroyed (if the case with the number [0052] is considered to be defective, then [0052] will not be sold).
Therefore, you may receive phone cases with a number exceeding [2500].

Q2: Why do the corners of the case show threads of different colors?

A2: Jacquard is a concave-convex pattern composed of interlaced warp and weft. The pixel pattern on the front requires another layer of silk threads crisscrossing on the back. So the jacquard pattern has an inconsistent front and back (as shown in the picture below).

For the Pixel Game case, there is a layer of black and gray twill aramid fiber cloth on the inside and a layer of fabric with a jacquard pixel pattern on the surface, which consists of two layers, with a MagSafe module in the middle, a total of 4 layers. Because the colors of the front and back fabrics are different, and the back of the patterned piece of fabric has irregular silk threads, when the seams are made at the side corners of the phone case, threads of different colors will appear.

Why not replace the black and grey twill aramid fabric with the same jacquard fabric as the surface? As mentioned earlier, the jacquard fabric has two layers. If the same fabric is used on the front and back, the phone case will have 5 layers, increasing the thickness and reducing the magnetic attraction of MagSafe.

Pitaka has been exploring different weaving techniques. We hope to use weaving to realize more creative and unique patterns on the phone case without compromising its function. However, irregular patterns mean more complicated weaving methods; hence traces of our handwork on the corners of the side of the phone case exist.

Q3: Is it possible to choose the badge and magnetic phone ring?

A3: No. There are three styles of badges and two styles of phone rings, they are shipped randomly.
